About Freeridesnow
Fritz and Theo started new adventure in 2010.
Freeridesnow mainly targets North America and Europe.
We understand the difference between skiing in Europe and North America.
This knowledge we use as a base for our approach to every tour. In 2011 all our tours will be guided by Fritz and Theo.

Fritz was born and raised in Switzerland close to the Bernese Alps and started skiing and climbing at a young age.
Fritz got all his alpine training with the Swiss army mountain division where he was an officer.
After studying agriculture and operating his own apple orchard in Switzerland he emigrated in 1986 to Canada with his small family to run his own mixed farm.

In 2004 Fritz moved to beautiful Kimberley BC where he graduated from a world class mountaineering School in Canmore Alberta.
He also attended avalanche-, first aid wilderness courses and guiding training. During four winters he worked for a German skitour operator.
In summer he also worked as a hiking guide for a well known adventure tour company in Banff, Alberta.
In 2006 he started his own small backcountry ski touring business, Ultimate Freeride Adventures Inc.
In march 2010 he moved to Rossland BC and restarted Ultimate Freeride Adventures under a new name: Freeridesnow, together with Theo.
Fritz also runs a year-round transportation business in the West-Kootenay.

Fritz is very familiar with all the ski resorts and back country ski-areas in the Kootenay region and Alberta
and is really looking forward to share his favourite backcountry spots and ski hills with you.
Theo was born and raised in the Netherlands near the German border and moved to British Columbia, Canada in 2009.
He studied business automation and is working as an IT professional the last 2 decades.
Since 2000 as an independent developer on software for internet applications.
In 1991 Theo started an own none profit outdoor organisation together with friends and his two brothers.

There mission was to break daily routine because all of them spending many hours working and studying indoors year in year out.
On a regular and volunteer base their own challenging sport events were organized and completed.
Every year a longer, remote and unique adventure trip was organized: the last ten year specialized in mountainbiking and wilderness cross country trekking on the Hardangervidda plateau in Norway.
Theo started learning skiing and snowboarding in European skiresorts (France, Italy, Switzerland and Austria) at the age of 25.
Now living in Canada he is trying and enyoing everything related to freeriding: powder-, tree-, moguls- and backcountry skiing, boarding and telemarking.
The next years he is eager to improve his skills to a higher level.
In summer windsurfing and kiteboarding are his greatest passion so he can board all year around.

Since july 2009 Theo lives in Kimberley BC together with Anja. They run a Bed an Breakfast close to the Alpine ski resort.
Starting Freeridesnow is a new challenge in organizing outdoor tours and to keep up the spirit having an real adventurous lifestyle besides his work in the virtual world.
